Responsibilities - Pharmacy Informatics Specialist:

Works to optimize the design, build, and maintenance of the electronic health record (EHR) across the health system enterprise to improve patient outcomes, operational workflow, and medication safety through the support and maintenance of pharmacy informatics systems.Responsible for promoting safe medication use practices and the use of clinical decision support methods by integrating knowledge of pharmacy practice, informatics and health information technology (HIT) systems. Serve as a liaison for pharmacists, physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals for EHR optimization requests and other pharmacy system changes and additions. Will be available to take on additional responsibilities as assigned to best help develop, evaluate, and monitor EHR optimization requests as needed.

Preferred Experience: 

PGY-2 residency - Pharmacy Informatics. 2+ years Pharmacy Informatics and Informatic Technology. Education:
Doctorate Degree in PharmacyPreferred: Masters - Information TechnologyCredentials:

Pharmacist - State of FloridaPreferred: CPHIMS (Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems) from HIMSS (Health Information Management and System Society)Preferred: ACHIP (AMIA Certified Health Informatics Professional) from AMIA (American Medical Informatics Association)Preferred: Graduate Certificate in HealthCare Informatics.
