Position Summary:

Responsible for purchasing and invoicing activities for the inpatient pharmacy department and all areas the department services, as well as maintaining pharmaceutical and supply storage areas.

Reports to: Director

FLSA:  Non-Exempt 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Restocks and maintains pharmacy inventory per current practice.

Coordinates all inventory activities with Pharmacy Inventory Coordinator.

Assists in maintenance of computerized inventory system and medication database.

Assists with purchase orders and disbursement of stock items.

Coordinates product returns and medication recall activities.

Participates in dispensing activities utilizing medication carousel.

Participates in medication delivery activities and filling of automated dispensing cabinets.


Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent
*Years of relevant experience may be substituted for required education.

Required Skills
Licenses:
Michigan Pharmacy Technician License or Temporary License (within 6 months of hire)

Minimum Work Experience
6 months pharmacy, purchasing, or inventory control
1 year in computerized inventory control (Preferred)
