Sentara Home Care is hiring an IV Pharmacy Tech to join their team in Chesapeake, VA!

Status: Full Time(40/hrs weekly)

Shift: Rotating (8.5 hr shift)

Hours: Days, 7a-7p

Weekend: Every 4th/5th weekend Rotation

Location: Independence Pkwy Chesapeake, 23320

Required qualifications:

Virginia Pharmacy Technician license CPhT license through PTCB or NHA

Preferred qualifications:

1 year Pharmacy Technician experience preferredIV room and Sterile Compounding experience preferred

Job responsibilities:

Prepares medications under the direction of a pharmacistMeasure, mix, count out, label, record amounts and dosages of medications according to prescription ordersResponsible for managing the drug distribution system and providing technical support in all aspects of the delivery of safe, effective, patient focused and cost efficient drug therapyResponsible for maintaining compliance under regulation guidelinesPerforms tasks that require higher level of competency, such as performing pharmaceutical calculations and operating automated compounding devices
