Explore the potential of your pharmacy experience in an elevated role. We are recruiting a Pharmacy Learning & Development Trainer to join our team of health care professionals. As a Pharmacy Learning & Development Trainer you will be responsible for developing effective learning paths and delivering training to licensed staff within Ardon’s pharmacy operations departments. This role will lead both group and individual training sessions including but not limited to new hire onboarding, continuous employee development, as well as other education and improvement needs as identified. The Pharmacy Learning & Development Trainer will promote employee growth and development across departments by identifying or responding to areas of improvement needed, and by translating requirements into trainings that will support performance success across operational roles. This role is responsible for designing and delivering curriculum and learning materials and coordinating with department leadership to manage all phases of training interventions. Job type: Full-time Pay range: $60,200-$75,000 annually, depending on experience Benefits: Competitive pay Flexible PTO and paid company holidays Medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance 401(k) match Position responsibilities: Collaborate with department leadership and quality staff to identify and address training needs and goals across departments and establish effective training plans. Develop and deliver structured training programs and learning materials for pharmacy personnel. Conduct on-the-job personnel training to teach and demonstrate principles, processes, and procedures specific to operational roles. Support licensed personnel adherence to regulatory requirements pertaining to job role and approved duties, communication best practices and department performance expectations. Understand and develop training to educate staff on pharmacy license and certification requirements as well as distinctions between licensed pharmacy roles. Create a company learning path to support pharmacy technician license certification. Onboarding new hire pharmacy personnel as well as supporting training for role transfers, promotions, and cross training. Promote on-going operational staff learning and skill development. Participate in employee coaching to support employee education and improvement plans. Provide constructive feedback and effective handling of sensitive matters while exercising sound judgement, discretion, and confidentiality. Utilize multiple learning methods to address different learning styles and apply methods to subject matter/content appropriately. Assess training effectiveness to ensure incorporation of taught skills and techniques into employees working behavior. Communicate with respective content or department managers regarding training outcomes and progress towards goals. Participate in and support learning and implementation of new software(s) and work processes as needed. Review and update training programs and materials to ensure content remains current and address opportunities for enhancement. Participates in maintaining accurate and confidential training records for pharmacy operation department and personnel. Designs and conducts software and regulatory training. Supports operational implementations. Actively participates and provides support as needed to leadership and quality program staff to ensure activities related to the company’s quality management program and quality improvement activities maintain priority focus and are effectively executed. This may include but is not limited to activities that promote objective and systematic measurement, monitoring, and evaluation of services and defined Quality Improvement Projects (QIPs) that may result from such efforts. Complies with the company’s Human Resources policies, Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, and all department policies and procedures, including protecting confidential company, employee, and customer information; attending work punctually and regularly; and adhering to good safety practices in all activities. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Required skills: Education and experience Required: High school diploma or GED. Active Oregon Pharmacy Technician License. Preferred: Minimum 2 years work experience in a pharmacy setting, or 1 year work experience in Specialty Pharmacy. Minimum 2 years work experience in employee training development. Physical and mental functions and activities Must be familiar with traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques. Must be able to present complex information to a variety of audiences. Must be able to communicate positively and professionally with employees at all levels of the organization. Must be able to maintain confidentiality, and project a positive and professional business image. Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Must be able to effectively problem solve and identify solutions. Must be able to express oneself, detect, perceive, observe, and assess information exchanged in a variety of communication methods. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with computer applications including but not limited to Microsoft Office applications, pharmacy application(s), and web-based training tools. Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Working conditions Work is performed in an office environment, with extensive keyboard and telephone work in stationary position. Business needs may occasionally require work in excess of 40 hours per week, including work outside of standard work week. Contact with others: Internally with Ardon employees across multiple departments. Our ideal candidate has: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively collaborate in a team setting. Proficiency in standard workplace software and/or information management applications. Prior experience working in a pharmacy or healthcare setting. Ability to navigate computer applications. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of pharmacy benefit investigation, prior authorization support, and patient financial assistance connection. Prior experience working with physicians, nurses, or other healthcare professionals.
