Position Purpose:

The Pharmacy Operations Coordinator Supports and performs medication safety analysis, investigation, and initiatives

What you'll do:

Reviews medication events to ensure assignment of the appropriate level of harm, error type, and causality, and to assess outcomes and explore opportunities for process improvement and/or staff educationConducts medication error-related root cause analysisDevelops medication administration policies for organizational consideration and approvalHelps coordinate and facilitate the activities of medication safety committees

Minimum qualifications

Education: Bachelor or Doctor of Pharmacy requiredLicensure / Certification: Maintains current licensure with the Ohio State Board of PharmacyExperience: 3 - 4 years clinical pharmacy experienceEffective Communication SkillsHas a keen interest in staff development and recognizes the need for quality clinical and operational education initiativesEvidence of effective leadership qualities, decision-making ability and ability to generate ideas and innovations in patient oriented pharmaceutical care
