Pharmacy Outcomes Data Mangement Specialist Part-time

Job Description:

Baptist Health is looking for a non-exempt, part-time Pharmacy Outcomes Data Management Specialist to join our Pharmacy team.  This position is 100% remote. Must reside in KY or IN.

Perform complex data analyses to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in prescribing and dispensing patterns and pharmacy operations. 

Develop predictive models to forecast drug demand, patient medication adherence, and potential adverse drug events. 

Performs analyses of structured and unstructured data to solve multiple and/or complex business problems utilizing advanced statistical techniques and mathematical analyses.

Create payor and PBM data models to ensure payments received align with contract terms.

Integrate data from various sources, including electronic health records (EHR), claims data, social determinants of health, and other relevant datasets. 

Propose and implement innovative solutions to improve data analysis and reporting.

Analyze pharmacy data, including prescription information, patient adherence metrics, and healthcare outcomes.

Use statistical and machine learning techniques to uncover trends and insights to identify patients who are at risk of non-adherence to their medication regimens.

Apply machine learning techniques to personalize medication regimens.

Estimating future demand for medications to optimize inventory management.

Tailoring medication plans based on individual patient characteristics and predicted responses to treatments. 

Forecasting pharmacy and healthcare resource needs, including staffing and budgeting.

Build predictive models to forecast drug spending, identify potential cost savings, and assess the impact of PBM programs on healthcare outcomes.

Identifying the types of data sets, such as patient information, medication details, prescription records, inventory levels, and transaction histories.

Designing tables with appropriate columns and data types to accurately represent different data elements.

Establishing relationships between tables (e.g., linking patient tables to prescription tables).

Regularly update and maintain the tables.

Creating mechanisms for entering data into the tables.

Design and implement decision support systems that aid pharmacists and healthcare providers in making evidence-based decisions.

Collaborate with clinical teams to integrate patient data and clinical guidelines into decision-making processes. 

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Bachelor's or master's degree, preferably in Pharmacy or Data Science OR previous experience in data analytics and business strategy, managing referral processes, or working with 340B program referrals within a healthcare organization in lieu of a degree.

Required to obtain 340B certification within 1 year.

Required to attend a 340B conference annually based on business need.

Previous experience in data analytics and business strategy, managing referral processes, or working with 340B program referrals within a healthcare organization.

Minimum of 3 - 5 years of job-related experience.

Strong understanding of pharmacy business and/or data analytics preferred.

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and provide data-driven insights and recommendations.

This position is non-exempt, part-time, 20 hours per week.
