Job Summary:

Assists pharmacists following established procedures and policies. Prepares and admixes sterile pharmaceutical products in a highly controlled, regulated, aseptic environment inside ISO 7 rooms and ISO 5 workspaces. Ensures admixtures are completed properly per FDA and Current Good Manufacturing practices (cGMP) requirements. Responsible for managing product inventory and supplies and is expected to maintain a highly organized cleanroom.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Prepare IV as admixtures for batch compounding of routine items.  Performs general cleaning and maintenance duties as directed. Participates in cleanroom product preparation prior to sterile filling. Verifies materials for use in batch compounding. Packages product in IV Bags, cartons, syringes, vials, overwraps. Labels and documents per written instructions. Replenishes packaging materials to areas/work cells as directed. Completes end of batch reconciliation and count verification. Retrieves product samples. Maintains manufacturing records and completes all required documentation in compliance with Current Good Manufacturing practices (cGMP), FDA, US pharmacopeia (USP) and pharmacy state board regulatory guidelines. Operates and monitors technical computerized compounding/filling equipment ensuring quality standards are maintained. Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.Performs other duties as assigned. 

EDUCATION 

High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience

EXPERIENCE 

Two years' experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.Frequent keyboard use/data entry.Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.Rare climbing.

REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL LICENSE AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
