**Job Summary:**
Assists pharmacists following established procedures and policies. Prepares and admixes sterile pharmaceutical products in a highly controlled, regulated, aseptic environment inside ISO 7 rooms and ISO 5 workspaces. Ensures admixtures are completed properly per FDA and Current Good Manufacturing practices (cGMP) requirements. Responsible for managing product inventory and supplies and is expected to maintain a highly organized cleanroom.
**Job Responsibilities and Requirements:**
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Prepare IV as admixtures for batch compounding of routine items.
+ Performs general cleaning and maintenance duties as directed.
+ Participates in cleanroom product preparation prior to sterile filling.
+ Verifies materials for use in batch compounding.
+ Packages product in IV Bags, cartons, syringes, vials, overwraps. Labels and documents per written instructions.
+ Replenishes packaging materials to areas/work cells as directed.
+ Completes end of batch reconciliation and count verification.
+ Retrieves product samples.
+ Maintains manufacturing records and completes all required documentation in compliance with Current Good Manufacturing practices (cGMP), FDA, US pharmacopeia (USP) and pharmacy state board regulatory guidelines.
+ Operates and monitors technical computerized compounding/filling equipment ensuring quality standards are maintained.
+ Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
+ High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience
EXPERIENCE
+ Two years' experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
+ Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
+ Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
+ Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
+ Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
+ Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
+ Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
+ Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
+ Rare climbing.
