Job Description:
Position Summary
Assists in operational services in the acute care hospital and if applicable, hospital owned outpatient departments (HOPDs). Aids in developing policies and procedures to ensure that medications are stored, prepared, and dispensed in a safe and effective manner. Ensures that distribution services are provided to meet the needs of the medical staff, patients, nurses, and associates. The Pharmacy Supervisor facilitates the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems that promote desirable patient outcomes through safe, appropriate, cost-effective medication therapies.
Minimum Education and Training
Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy
Kentucky and/or Indiana Board of Pharmacy license in good standing as applicable to practice site.
Minimum of three (3) years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred
Completion of PGY-1/PGY-2 ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Residency in administration preferred or previous management experience preferred
Board certification or other advanced certification preferred
Masters degree preferred
