Position Summary: The Pharmacy Financial Analyst will function as the lead analyst for the “business of pharmacy” across the system service line. This position will support pharmacy and finance leadership in analyzing every day financial activities, optimizing expense and revenue opportunities and providing advice and guidance on future financial plans for pharmacy services. Education, License & Cert: Must have minimum of an Associates degree or Bachelors Degree in Finance, Business Administration or Health Care Management. Masters Degree preferred Experience: • Experience in the hospital financial sector • Understanding of financial trends both within the hospital system and general market patterns • Proficient user of finance software • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills • Able to guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used • A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles • Working knowledge of required hospital statutory legislation and regulations Essential Functions: 1. Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to pharmacy and finance leadership and recommend appropriate further courses of action. 2. Oversee 340B Program 3. Maintain the financial health of the pharmacy service line Other Duties: 1. Support the company’s financial forecasting function 2. Support optimization of pharmacy revenue cycle activity in conjunction with appropriate hospital finance elements (price structure, cost updates, CDM maintenance, coding, NDC maintenance, etc.) 3. Liase with internal or external auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring and oversight of pharmacy finances is maintained. 4. Interface with other departments as needed to optimize pharmacy financial services
