Job Description
Oversees ongoing activities which promote safe, rational, cost-effective drug and nutrient therapy and further drug and nutrient information technologies within Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Ensures all pharmaceuticals are accurately billed and appropriate reimbursement obtained. Supports and ensures that comprehensive patient care services are provided which support the integrity of the family system and patient care team.Experience

Experience in hospital pharmacyGeneral knowledge/experience of networks, interfaces, database management, and report writingPharmacy knowledge/experience with pharmacy information systems and Microsoft office softwareEducation

Maintains pharmacy information systems that promote safe, rational, and cost-effective drug therapy.Works to ensure that pharmaceuticals are billed correctly with information provided to seek appropriate reimbursement.Communicates and collaborates effectively to facilitate positive working relationships and achieve desired results with all staff and internal/external customers.Represents pharmacy on assigned committees and task forces.Integrates services with other Children's Healthcare of Atlanta services and all pharmacy areas to support quality patient care.Improves the quality of pharmacy computer services proactively.Supervises Pharmacy Business Team.
