Position Description

Assists Pharmacist in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders. Performs various technical duties involved with the handling, packaging, and delivery of pharmaceuticals. Provides patient care services to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

 

The Pharmacy Tech will be working three 12 hour shifts per week, rotating every 4th weekend. 

Position Requirements

REQUIRED High school diploma or Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia. Non-certified technicians will have a maximum of two (2) years from their date of hire or change of status to a pharmacy technician job class at Northside Hospital to achieve certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA).  PREFERRED Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
