As well as checks the pharmacy deliveries for accuracy and restocks the delivered items.
Other essential functions include:
Files and maintains Pharmacy paperworkRemoves discontinued medication and arranges for their return to Shore Pharmacy.Performs monthly/weekly audits of medication refrigerators, cabinets, lock integrity, cleanliness, temperature, and proper medication storage which are submitted to the Director of Nursing.Checks and processes sharps containers for collection by Environmental Services.Maintains and monitors Emergency boxes on all floors monitoring the need return to Shore Pharmacy for updating.Maintains adequate supplies in the floor medication cart and the clean utility room.Destroys and logs destruction of all expired / excess stock of non-narcotic medications.Submits electronic requisitions for OTC and IV stock items through Medworld and MMS systems.Verifies Physician Orders for OTC items in SigmaCare, as needed.Job Type: Full Time
Salary: $27.8957 per hour
QualificationsRequirements:
Must have at least Associate degree or certification equivalent; with 3 years experience3-5 years of vendor pharmacy experience or other comparable long term care experience requiredLicensure:
