The Pharmacy Technician provides distributive pharmacy services, assistance and support for the registered pharmacist.

Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems.Fills medication carts on a daily basis.Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the pharmacy department.Repackages bulk medications.

 

Required Skills

Critical thinking skillsDecisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Capable of working in a stressful environment and taking appropriate action.

 

Minimum Education

High school diploma or equivalent: RequiredAssociate’s degree PreferredGraduate of a program or discipline: Preferred

Certifications:

National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or Certified Pharmacy Technician Board (CPTB) Ky Pharmacy Board Registered within 6 months of hire.
