Pharmacy Tech - Clinic Pharmacy - Per Diem
Summary Assists pharmacist in the provision of pharmacy services Experience Experience in outpatient pharmacy is helpful, but not required. Education Graduation from High School or a GED is required. Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) within one year of hire date is required. Candidates with current certification are preferred. Continued certification by PTCB is a requirement for continued employment. A valid driver’s license is required. Essential Functions + Assists in all aspects of accurately preparing prescriptions for dispensing under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. + Processes prescriptions via computer system, and reviews third-party payer on-line adjudication. + Receive requests from patients via phone, e-mail, fax, in-person, and other means + Assists in performing inventory functions including stock replenishment and removing expired/recalled medications medications from the pharmacy shelves. + Handles questions pertaining to the operations of the pharmacy that do not require the professional expertise or judgment of a pharmacist. + Communicates to the pharmacists any information that is necessary for ensuring the effective operation of the Clinic Pharmacy. + Delivers prescriptions as needed to off-site locations in adjacent clinics or hospital. Operation of a Guthrie owned vehicle may be required for other local deliveries. + Perform any job duties assigned to the Pharmacy Cashiers. + Assists in all facets of regulatory compliance and performs duties according to policy and procedures of the department.
