Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, the certified pharmacy technician prepares both sterile and non-sterile compounds and delivers medications to the dispensing cabinets on the nursing units. May be expected to perform some clerical duties relating to the department. Receives and stores incoming medications and supplies.  Ensures supplies, trays, and kits are adequately stocked. Verifies stock to maintain inventory records. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Communicates with other hospital staff to provide information and resolve issues to improve patient care. Works as a team with other pharmacy technicians and pharmacists. 

Qualifications:

Minimum age 18. 

High school diploma or equivalent. 

Minimum one year pharmacy technician experience, sterile compounding experience preferred. 

Nationally recognized pharmacy technician certification, 

Active technician license in Arkansas in good standing. (required upon hire)
