A pharmacy technician assists the pharmacist in a community pharmacy by preparing medications, managing inventory, and supporting patient care.
Responsibilities
Accurately label, package, and distribute prescribed medications under pharmacist supervisionGreet customers and answer phone callsMonitor inventory, order supplies and medications, remove expired or expiring medications from inventoryHandling billing, resolving claim issues, and communicating with insurance providers and customers.Ensure all procedures follow legal and safety standards, including controlled substance handling.Compounding non-sterile products
Qualifications
1 year community retail pharmacy experience is preferredPharmacy certification required
