Pharmacy Tech II Certified- Part Time
**JOB SUMMARY:** Under the leadership of the Operations Manager, or Pharmacy Specialist and the technical guidance of a pharmacist, assists the pharmacist in filling medication orders, preparing IV admixtures and maintaining appropriate levels of medications in pharmacy, nursing units, service carts and trays to meet patient care needs. **MINIMAL ACCEPTABLE JOB QUALIFICATIONS** **Registration/Certification/Licensure:** Must hold a valid Indiana Pharmacy Technician License. **Experience:** At least 6 months experience as a hospital pharmacy technician is required. **Education:** Minimum of a high school diploma or GED. Lutheran Health Network facility will provide on-the-job training for compounding sterile products. Must complete initial technician training in all non- sterile areas. Successful completion of an Indiana Board of Pharmacy approved Pharmacy Technician training program at a previous site is a plus. **Other:** Previous exposure to computers is required. **JOB KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:** 1. Demonstrates working knowledge of the English language, verbal and written. 2. Requires strong mathematical computation and organizational skills to process pharmaceutical doses and complete pharmacy inventory functions. 1. Requires knowledge of a hospital pharmacy operations#39;s practices and procedures, pharmaceutical terminology, as well as the importance of accurate processing and documentation. 1. Demonstrates working knowledge of pharmacy information system after appropriate training is completed. 1. Demonstrates well developed interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with all internal and external unit customers.
