Our two campuses in Methuen and Haverhill have a total of 320 beds, and we are a full-service, acute care hospital offering comprehensive inpatient medical/surgical units, outpatient care, and 24/7 emergency services. We have three behavioral health units: cardiac telemetry, and critical care service lines. Our Haverhill campus offers all private rooms, and our Methuen campus offers a new state-of-the-art catheterization suite and Joint Center of Excellence, named as a Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Distinction+ Center for Knee and Hip Replacement.

Position Summary:

Summary:

Pharmacy technicians assist and support licensed pharmacists in providing health care and medications to patients. Pharmacy technicians must have a broad knowledge of pharmacy practice, and be skilled in the techniques required to order, stock, package, and compound and otherwise prepare medications. Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

Knowledge of CPT and ICD coding highly desired Knowledge of third-party payer regulations and guidelines highly desired Proficiency in PC software, especially Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheet programs Experience with electronic health record systems Ability to effectively manage multiple demands, working under moderate to high degree of pressure. Ability to multi-task and problem solve with strong organizational skills. Excellent leadership skills and strong decision making and self-motivation skills. Strong organizational, prioritization, communication, and mathematical skills. Knowledge of Specialty Pharmacy Operations and third-party payers and insurance plans. Ability to understand the importance of and respect the confidentiality of all patient information.

Qualifications: 

Education: High School graduate or equivalent. Experience: 2 years of experience preferred Licensure/Certification: Registered with the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy as a Technician.
