Position Summary
Pharmacy technician level IV is a certified pharmacy technician position who supports pharmacy services by assembling and participating in the distribution of medications. A pharmacy technician level IV will need certification by a nationally recognized certification board. This position will assist the department’s professional staff, under direct supervision, in a numerous aspects of ordering, receiving, storage, distribution, and monitoring medication use. This position may either be dedicated to the distribution of controlled substances, nationally certified in sterile compounding, or a pharmacy lead techn
Minimum Education and Training
· Registration with Kentucky Board of Pharmacy (KY hospitals) within 30 days of hire date if you are a new registrant. If previously registered, you must have registration upon hire.
· Registration with Indiana Board of Pharmacy (IN hospitals) within 30 days of hire date if you are a new registrant. If previously registered, you must have registration upon hire.
· Certified in sterile compounding (Sterile Compounding Preparation Technician only).
· Nationally certified as a pharmacy technician.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office products preferred.
Experience
· At least 6 months sterile compounding experience required (Sterile Compounding Preparation Technician only).
