In this role, there will be the opportunity to –

Prepare sterile and nonsterile medications, including cytotoxic and hazardous drugs, using proper aseptic techniques. Procure and manage inventory levels in pharmacy medication stock rooms, automated carousels, and dispensing machines. Retrieve discontinued medications, returning and processing them per pharmacy protocols. Distribute medications, including emergency carts, cassettes, and controlled substances, in compliance with policies and regulations. Maintain accurate and secure storage of medications in compliance with regulatory guidelines (Department of Health, Joint Commission, State Board of Pharmacy). Assist in training pharmacy personnel and students, ensuring adherence to operational procedures. Comply with Federal and State laws (e.g., HIPAA, OSHA) and regulatory requirements such as CMS and PBM contracting. Maintain controlled substance records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Federal, State, and Department regulations.
