Knowledge and experience with sterile intravenous admixture in accordance with USP 797 and USP 800 guidelines is preferred, along with the demonstrated ability to perform at a high level of attention to detail. **PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES** • Perform the duties of a Pharmacy Technician 1 • Prepare investigational medications from a physician order which may include compounded sterile products, hazardous medications and extemporaneously prepared doses • Accurately perform pharmaceutical calculations • Prepare sterile products and chemotherapy hazardous medications using appropriate aseptic technique according to USP 797 and USP 800 guidelines • Troubleshoot technical questions related to Investigational Drug Services. Serve as a resource to nursing, pharmacy and medical staff for policies and procedures • Maintain all quality assurance and other regulatory documentation required for dose preparation for investigational drug studies • Perform billing activities to drug study budgets and provide documentation to study coordinators as required • Receive Investigational Drug shipments, document required elements into inventory logs and assure proper storage. Prepare Investigational Drugs for shipment when required utilizing established cold chain practices **REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS** Six months of experience as a Pharmacy Technician 1 OR equivalent education/experience. **LEGAL REQUIREMENT** State of Washington Pharmacy Technician certification. **_CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENTUW Medicine is committed to being a drug-free workplace.
