The University Pharmacy, a part of Student Health Services and Student affairs at the University of Pittsburgh is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented person to join our team. The University Pharmacy is a full-service pharmacy located on 5th avenue in Oakland, PA.
A service-oriented individual with the ability to perform work efficiently and accurately is desired. Experience working in a pharmacy or a Pharmacy Technician certification is required.
Model excellent patient care by respecting, engaging, and enthusiastically meeting or exceeding all patient needs, including processing orders in person and by phone, directing patients to products and merchandise, and referring appropriate questions concerning prescriptions and over the counter medicine to the pharmacist.
Follow all University, state and federal policies, laws and regulations, including HIPAA and Pseudoephedrine sales.
Resolve customer questions and concerns by communicating effectively with the customer and the management team and support staff in an efficient manner.

Assists pharmacist in preparation and dispensing of prescriptions and supports staff with insurance billing. Takes verbal orders via telephone, assists with inventory and product return shipments, and performs basic financial tasks.

Assist with maintaining proper inventory levels by ordering, receiving, stocking and rotating drugs and other supplies per company policy and procedures.
Prepares and ships returns.
Operates point of sale.
