Job Description
The Pharmacy Fulfillment Technician is responsible for preparing, filling, and distributing prescriptions according to client orders/specifications, maintaining equipment and inventory in the pharmacy, and record keeping related to patient and drug information.
ResponsibilitiesAssist the Pharmacist in reviewing, processing, preparing, filling, labeling, and dispensing of medications, supplies, and the provision of pharmaceutical care.Communicate with representatives to ensure medication compliance, medication and supply inventory, and overall coordination of care as applicable.Follow HIPAA and privacy law guidelines, and any other local or federal laws.Aid in the enforcement of all company policies and procedures.Maintain all records, including prescription logs and related files.Assist the Inventory Specialist with expiration date review of all medications on a scheduled basis and prepare outdated medication for destruction according to procedure.Perform Quality Assurance checks on automated technology specific to pharmacy equipment and shipping requirements.Maintain a clean and orderly work site.Perform routine and professional pharmacy functions.Work Environment
The job activities are performed 100% inside. The work environment involves exposure to noise and/or vibrations. Tasks require reaching overhead, handling, and feeling. The role requires standing, bending, stooping, and sitting for prolonged periods of time. The ability to lift, carry, and move up to 40 pounds, as well as push/pull up to 50 pounds, is necessary. Sufficient hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity are required to operate standard office equipment.
