Job Title: Pharmacy TechnicianJob Description We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our rapidly growing specialty pharmacy. This role involves working on moderately complex assignments, requiring judgment in resolving problems and making routine recommendations. You will play a crucial part in ensuring accurate and complete information for patient care. Responsibilities + Review contents of referral to ensure complete and accurate information has been received. + Create a patient profile from a scanned or faxed image by entering correct patient and provider information. + Conduct an initial check of prescriptions to ensure clinical accuracy for processing. + Communicate with providers regarding referral status, prescription clarification, missing information, or patient concerns. + Update concise progress notes to ensure other roles within the workflow can quickly assess the status of the referral. + Enter new provider information, such as the National Provider Identifier, accurately into the system. + Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills + Pharmacy Technician certification + 2+ years of pharmacy operation experience + Proficiency in data entry + Customer service skills + Competent in basic computer skills Additional Skills & Qualifications + High School Diploma required + Excellent organizational and time management skills + Multi-task oriented + Ability to effectively work with people + Conscientious and detail-oriented + Flexible and adaptable + Healthcare experience preferred + NC Registered (NCBOP) preferred Work Environment The work environment is an office setting with no direct patient contact. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 am to 8 pm EST, with weekends and major holidays off. Initial training will be from 9 am to 6 pm, with potential shifts from 10 am to 7 pm after training. This position will start onsite, and if transitioned to a permanent role, the schedule will be hybrid.
