Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our rapidly growing specialty pharmacy. This role involves working on moderately complex assignments, requiring judgment in resolving problems and making routine recommendations. You will play a crucial part in ensuring accurate and complete information for patient care.
ResponsibilitiesReview contents of referral to ensure complete and accurate information has been received.Create a patient profile from a scanned or faxed image by entering correct patient and provider information.Conduct an initial check of prescriptions to ensure clinical accuracy for processing.Communicate with providers regarding referral status, prescription clarification, missing information, or patient concerns.Update concise progress notes to ensure other roles within the workflow can quickly assess the status of the referral.Enter new provider information, such as the National Provider Identifier, accurately into the system.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsPharmacy Technician certification2+ years of pharmacy operation experienceProficiency in data entryCustomer service skillsCompetent in basic computer skillsAdditional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma requiredExcellent organizational and time management skillsMulti-task orientedAbility to effectively work with peopleConscientious and detail-orientedFlexible and adaptableHealthcare experience preferredNC Registered (NCBOP) preferredWork Environment
The work environment is an office setting with no direct patient contact. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 am to 8 pm EST, with weekends and major holidays off. Initial training will be from 9 am to 6 pm, with potential shifts from 10 am to 7 pm after training. This position will start onsite, and if transitioned to a permanent role, the schedule will be hybrid.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00
