Cornell Health Pharmacy is a fully accredited retail pharmacy that welcomes all community members including; students, faculty, staff members and visitors. The Pharmacy Technician assists the Pharmacist with functions as allowed by Title VIII, Article 137 of New York State Education Law, such as preparing and dispensing prescription medications. This position works collaboratively in a fast-paced team oriented environment providing exemplary front line customer service. This role processes financial transactions involving OTC items and prescriptions, and is responsible for completing each transaction following New York State procedures in regards to prescription pick up, and will accept payment for items at time of service.

Required Qualifications:
6 months to 1 year of formal training beyond High School diploma in cashiering and/or payment at time of service transactions.One year experience as a pharmacy assistant in the retail or clinical setting.High degree of attention to detail, especially in drug accountability, medication accuracy and fiscal responsibility.Sensitive to maintaining patient confidentiality and meeting HIPAA requirements.Preferred Qualifications:
