 Requirements for consideration:

 Pharmacy Technician 1

High School diploma or GED Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Virginia or a Pharmacy intern license.  Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA within 3 months of hire.

 Pharmacy Technician 2

High School diploma or GED Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Virginia or a Pharmacy intern license.  Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA within 3 months of hire. One year experience working as a Pharmacy Technician (hospital experience preferred). One (1) year IV training/experience preferred

Job Responsibilities:

Maintains adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies. Accurately pre-packs medications and restocks code cart and stock kits. Restocks assigned areas, puts away unused medications in addition to utilizing want book and associated inventory management procedures. Showcases proficiency in IV Admixture procedures including using aseptic technique in preparation of medications, calculations, maintenance of clean area and complete documentation and accurately prepares IV Admixture and sterile compounding.
