Position Summary
Under direct supervision of a Licensed Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technicians are responsible for the preparation of prescriptions, including data entry, communication with insurance carriers and medication retrieval. Technicians are responsible for daily pharmacy operations, including customer service, store inventory and cashier duties.

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Required:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred:
Accredited Pharmacy Technician Program
Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):

2 years Retail pharmacy experience
License, Registry or Certification:
Required:
Registered with the New Jersey Board of Pharmacy within 180 days of hire, Pharmacy Technician License (LPhT). The application to begin the pharmacy technician registration process must be submitted to the Board of Pharmacy within the first 10 days of employment. Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certificate.

Required:
Computer, Communication and Customer Service skills are essential. Must possess the ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize duties. Works effectively in stressful environment. Must be self-directed. Excellent interpersonal skills required.
