As Pharmacy Technician, you will support pharmacists in providing pharmacy services. You will be responsible for the preparations of sterile compounds both chemotherapy and non-chemotherapy, inventory control, ordering supplies and medications as needed and USP 797 guidelines adherence. **A caregiver in this position works from 8:00AM - 4:30PM.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Prepare medications through selecting, labeling, repacking, non-sterile compounding and sterile compounding. + Deliver medications to the appropriate storage locations in an accurate and timely manner. + Maintain accurate and appropriate inventories of medications and supplies and complete inventory audits, such as cycle counts and nursing unit inspections. + Maintain a safe and clean work area by complying with procedures, rules and regulations, and document regulatory requirements such as temperature logs, scheduled activities and training. + Use information systems, technology and automation to complete assigned tasks. + Assist with the training of pharmacy caregivers and students. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + A High School Diploma or GED + Licensed in Florida as a Registered Pharmacy Technician + Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) + Ability to perform algebraic calculations necessary for the preparation of extemporaneous compounds. + Basic computer skills Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program + Six months of hospital experience Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
