Schedule: M-F 12:00pm-8:30pm , every other weekend rotation.

*90 day training period on the 9am-5:30pm shift.

This role will be performed onsite at a closed-door pharmacy in Boca Raton, FL.

All patient interactions will be over the phone.

Comprehensive training provided side by side with training team.Must be comfortable working in a high-volume environment.We offer full time benefits including health, vision, dental and matching 401k options.

Responsible for entering and processing prescriptions into the pharmacy operating system with both speed and accuracy. Communicates with customers on the telephone and responds quickly and courteously to their needs.

Essential Job Functions (include the following): 

Enter new and refill prescriptions into operating system in accurate and timely manner to eliminate errors at dispensingTriage incoming fax prescriptions to ensure timely dispensingEnsure proper notes in computer and cycle fill codingCalculate and/or verify the correct dosage based on the prescriptionDemonstrate caring, understanding and courtesy when responding to calls from customers. Route calls as appropriate to ensure top level serviceEnsure all prescriptions assigned for processing are completed in regular shiftReceive, evaluate, process and follow-up as needed with doctors’ offices on all refills assignedUsing advanced knowledge, troubleshoot, research and resolve customer service issuesExercise proficiency in the utilization of all pharmacy systems (ie document imaging, legacy pharmacy computer operating system)Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth workflow in data entry departmentUnderstand & exercise proficiency in Cycle in order to meet delivery deadlines. Maintain data entry records for cycle medication, fill requests and process cycle medication orders needing renewal in addition to new cycle orders as applicableConsistently meet pharmacy's established accuracy and productivity levels.On an as needed, may assist with filing of completed orders, packaging of medications, inventory, profiling of orders for medical records, and filling processed prescriptions to dispense to the patientOther essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed

Education and/or Certifications 

High School Diploma or GED (per state requirements)Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration (per state requirements); National Certification preferred (PTCB)

Skills and Qualifications: 

3 + years related experience including a minimum of 6 months Data Entry experience in a long term or managed care settingProficient in the utilization of all pharmacy systems (ie document imaging, legacy pharmacy computer operating systemKnowledge of Brand Name/Generic medications and Sig codesAbility to work independently and deliver to deadlinesAbility to solve problems with minimal directionGreat attention to detail and accuracyAbility to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlinesQuality minded; motivated to seek out errors and inquire when something appears inaccurate

Work Environment:

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays and overtime
