Job Overview:
The Pharmacy Technician assists in the provision of pharmaceutical services under the direct supervision of the Registered Pharmacist by performing the technical, clerical, and manipulative tasks involved in dispensing, preparing, and distributing all medications and pharmaceutical products for all patient age groups and maintaining statistical records,

Required:
New Jersey registered or registration eligible,One year previous pharmacy experience in a hospital setting is preferred, and/or a pharmacy technician training coursePreferred:
PTCB certification preferred,Scheduling Requirements:

Technician is able to fill medication lists of all age groups accurately and prepare certain medication according to policyChemo set-up and preparationPharmacy area (ex., Pick area, main pharmacy, unit dose area, etc) restockingCompounding and clean-upPyxis operations at the console and stationDirect and storeroom order receiving and processingMedication delivery within 10 minutesThe position is also responsible for identifying and reporting hazardous environments or safety issues and medical errors to appropriate personnelThe position is also responsible for any other assigned tasks, as appropriateChoosing RWJBarnabas Health!
