Watertown Regional Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician
Full Time; 32 Hours per week
The Pharmacy Technician Buyer / Inventory Specialist ensures availability of medications for the care of patients throughout the organization (hospital and clinics), oversees medication related purchasing and inventory control related functions, responsible for meeting the needs of internal and external Hospital customer and supporting the pharmacy department by providing a variety of clerical services including pricing, charging, medication reconciliation, filling orders under supervision, sterile compounding and delivery of medication orders. This individual performs in accordance with hospital standards, policies and operates under direct supervision of pharmacist(s). This individual reports directly to the Director of Pharmacy and assists with cost-saving initiatives as needed.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to\:
Oversight of medication acquisition, storage, security, preparation, and distribution. Fostering an environment where pharmacy services are provided in an accurate, appropriate, and timely manner. Demonstrating a high level of competence, professionalism, and customer service. Rotating shifts/weekends.All job duties shall be performed in accordance with all applicable State and Federal laws, applicable regulatory bodies, and policies and procedures of the health system and pharmacy department.
