We are seeking a PHARMACY TECHNICIAN in Wausau, WI to work in our Outpatient (Retail) Pharmacy department at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Under the supervision of a Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician performs accurate and timely preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical products.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Medication filling.Direct customer contact – answering phones, operating the register.Working directly with healthcare providers.Inventory management and prescription entry.Insurance processing.
Experience/Qualifications *Willing to train!
Knowledge of organizational and project management practices normally acquired through completion of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Customer service skills and experience are beneficial.Experience in a health-related field, pharmacy, and computers beneficial.National Pharmacy Technician Certification is beneficial.
Hours: Occasional hours as needed. Day/Evening hours between 8:00am – 7:30pm. Rotating every 4th Saturday (9am – 4pm) and every 4th Christmas Day.
