Make an extraordinary impact.** The Pharmacy Technician II- Home Infusion is responsible for interpretation and data entry of moderately complex prescriptions, prior authorization processing, and troubleshooting adjudication issues. **How you will make an impact:** Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: + Verifies member information and inputs data for pharmacists while accurately pulling supplies and filling medication orders for home infusion services. + Educates members on pharmacy-based rules related to prescriptions and medication resources or assistance programs; provides patient support by addressing inquiries and concerns professionally. + Responds to inquiries from physicians, sales team, and members related to formulary and prescription benefits. + Provides resolution to grievances and appeals issues. + Processes prior authorization requests from physician offices and ensures compliance with Medicare requirements; informs relevant parties of all prior authorization determinations + Manages inventory, including ordering, stocking, and labeling medications and supplies in the warehouse; coordinates with healthcare providers and patients for medication deliveries and returns. + Prepares and packages medications and supplies for safe, timely shipping to patients; ensures compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines. + Troubleshoots and replaces infusion pumps and other equipment as needed; participates in regular training to stay current with industry standards. **Minimum Requirements:** + Requires an active, professional license, if required by state law, State Pharmacy Technician Certification or National Certification based on applicable state(s) requirements, to practice as a Pharmacy Technician within the scope of practice in a state or territory of the United States. + Requires H.S. diploma or equivalent and minimum of 2 years of pharmacy experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. **Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:** + Home infusion or IV experience preferred. + Experience with infusion pumps and related medical equipment preferred. + Familiarity with home healthcare delivery systems and protocols preferred. + Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and experience ensuring compliance preferred. + Experience with inventory management software and shipping logistics systems preferred. + Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and manage time effectively preferred. + Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in various situations preferred.
