You will make a lasting difference in the lives of patients, their families and your fellow caregivers. **A caregiver in this position works rotating shifts from 6:00AM - 2:30PM or 3:00PM - 11:30PM.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Prepare medications through selecting, labeling, repacking, non-sterile compounding and sterile compounding. + Deliver medications to the appropriate storage locations in an accurate and timely manner. + Maintain accurate and appropriate inventories of medications and supplies and complete inventory audits, such as cycle counts and nursing unit inspections. + Maintain a safe and clean work area by complying with procedures, rules and regulations, and document regulatory requirements such as temperature logs, scheduled activities and training. + Use information systems, technology and automation to complete assigned tasks. + Assist with the training of pharmacy caregivers and students. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + High School Diploma or GED + Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcare Association (NHA) required upon hire + Active registration through the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP) as a Certified Pharmacy Technician OR Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Trainee with agreement of updating registration to a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the OBOP within six months of hire + Understanding of algebraic calculations necessary for the preparation of extemporaneous compounds Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Six months of hospital experience Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
