GENERAL SUMMARY:

Location: Detroit, MI (Moross)

Shift: Full Time 40 Hour Rotating Shift

Provide distributive pharmacy services and technical support for the Pharmacist prior to receiving certification.

PINCIPLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES:

Refill and maintain automated dispensing systems. Prepare orders and maintain inventory for the Pharmacy department. Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounds. Repackage bulk medications.  Receive and store incoming supplies. Triage incoming calls and serve as a liaison between pharmacy, patient and health professionals by providing information.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience -OR- Associate's degree/Technical degree -OR- 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.  At least 1 year of pharmacy experience in retail or inpatient setting preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Michigan Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. PTCB certified or nationally certified preferred.
