The pharmacy technician lead is an assistant leadership role within Enterprise Pharmacy. The technician will have leadership over the technicians within their work area and be responsible for assisting with the management of staff and overseeing pharmacy operations.
Job Duties Provide patient/provider/customer careUse the pharmacy computer system to facilitate patient careParticipate in patient/provider/customer care activities that do not require the expertise of a pharmacistPrepare and label medications appropriately for distribution.Retrieve, review, and perform inventory management for medications and supplies in the pharmacy.Maintain pharmacy records.Perform housekeeping duties in the pharmacy in compliance with hospital and accreditation policies.Participate in the onboarding and training of new pharmacy personnel.In addition to the duties and responsibilities of at least a Certified Pharmacy Technician:Oversee and assist with operational activities within the pharmacy such as, but not limited to: technician trainee education, technician scheduling and evaluation, oversight of inventory management, performance improvement or staff development plans.Oversee and assist with quality improvement and other projects as directed by the pharmacy administrative team.
