Pharmacy Technician Lead QRT - 3rd shift - Express Scripts

Shift:

10pm - 6:30am EST, Sunday - Thursday.

Job Description Summary:

May retrieve, count, and measure drugs. Research problems related to customer prescription inquiries. Technical expert with depth or breadth of knowledge within Pharmacy. Provides guidance and direction to other members of the team. Collaborates with many departments within the pharmacy. Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).

Position summary:


Quality Response Team members are essential in driving quality processes at Express Scripts Pharmacy.  They are responsible in mitigating quality related events and researching quality related issues that would affect overall pharmacy DPMO.  They support each department in various capacities depending on need in managing quality.  They assist in trouble shooting and rectifying issues that can also impact overall pharmacy productivity.  This is a dynamic position that requires critical thinking skills, quick decision making, and the ability to solve problems.


What you’ll do:

Monitor automation lanes and support bottle spotting teams to identify potential quality issues with automated dispensing.Respond to floor calls for quality related issues in pharmacy including automation, manual dispensing, warehouse, and packing departments.Research patient medication events.Collaborate with all departments and research operational issues that can impact building operation and quality.Research in house quality events and report findings out to Director of Pharmacy Practice and relevant/impacted departments.Document and manage quality audit process for all departments/shifts.Assist in development, documentation, and updating of Standard Operating ProceduresAssist in training/development of other team membersDemonstrate leadership quality consistent with Cigna Values.


What you need to do the job:

High school diploma or GED requiredThree to five years relevant working experience as a Pharmacy Technician.Experience in a pharmacy dispensing setting is required.Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Indiana.Indiana State Certification Required.General PC knowledge and skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookKnowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within dispensing pharmacyStrong attention to detail with good organizational skillsAbility to stand for extended periods of timeAbility to adapt in a dynamic work environment, learn quickly, solve problems and make decisionsAbility and desire to assist team members


If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
