Position Summary: Under the supervision of a dispensing medical physician, provide in-office dispensing of oral oncolytic drugs to oncology patients. Pharmacy Technician will demonstrate consistent application of knowledge and skills to provide safe, efficient, and cost-effective pharmaceutical care.

 

Essential Job Functions:

Dispenses medication according to best practices. Understands medication storage requirements. Maintain medically integrated dispensing supply of sample medications.  Obtain, enroll and maintain accurate and current authorization status for treatment patients.  Work with specialty pharmacies  Obtain copay assistance, foundation or manufacturer assistance for patients as required.  Inventory control  Maintain accurate documentation and records

 

Qualifications:

Current Certified Pharmacy Technician license  Current knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes, regarding the practice of pharmacy and the distribution of approved drugs  Prior experience in a healthcare or customer service position  Excellent computer skills and knowledge  Excellent customer service skills

 

Hours: Monday - Wednesday - Friday 8 - 5
