\nOur expansion, spanning 165,000 square feet, will introduce a state-of-the-art patient tower to our Round Rock hospital, tailored to accommodate the evolving needs of our rapidly growing population. Among its highlights, the tower will house an innovative 11-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, alongside expanded capacities for crucial departments such as med/surg and labor and delivery.
\nAnticipate a host of enhancements, including:
\n\nAdditional operating rooms, cath labs, and procedural areas.\nExpansions and upgrades to communal spaces.\nImplementation of advanced equipment across various departments.\nShell space earmarked for future growth, including the expansion of our Emergency Department and operating suites.\n\nAs we embark on this transformative journey, we invite you to seize this unparalleled opportunity to make a meaningful impact on healthcare delivery in our community. \nJOB SUMMARY
\nThe Scheduling Specialist under general supervision and in accordance with established procedures, schedules outpatient diagnostic procedures including but not limited to radiology and imaging procedures, validates outpatient orders, and captures patient demographic and insurance information.
\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
\n\nContacts patients or providers for outpatient diagnostic procedures.\nContacts patients to schedule outpatient diagnostic procedures.\nCollects patient demographic and insurance information during scheduling phone call with provider or patient.\nValidates insurance is in network with the provider.\nCompiles patient information such as diagnosis, reason for procedure, medications, allergies and other applicable information prior to scheduled procedure.\nMonitors inbound orders process to ensure orders are validated and routed appropriately to ensure patients are contacted timely to schedule procedure.\nContacts department affected by schedule adjustments to ensure patient is prepared and necessary personnel and equipment are available.\nResponsible for meeting telephone system metrics and any other productivity standards set by the department to include length of call, length of answer time, and number of calls taken within a specific period.\n\nKEY SUCCESS FACTORS
\n\nMust consistently meets performance standards of production, accuracy, completeness and quality.\nRequires good listening, interpersonal and communication skills, and professional, pleasant and respectful telephone etiquette.\nAbility to maintain a professional demeanor in a highly stressful and emotional environment, behavioral health and suffering patients in addition to life/death situations.\nMust be able to exhibit a high level of empathy with the ability to effectively communicate with patients and family members during traumatic events, while demonstrating exceptional customer service skills.\nDemonstrates ability to manage multiple, changing priorities in an effective and organized manner.\nExcellent data entry, numeric, typing and computer navigational skills.\nBasic computer skills and Microsoft Office.\n\nBENEFITS
