Job Description SummaryAs a PhD Intern – Heat Transfer & Thermal Management, you will collaboratively work on heat transfer and thermal management technology, research & development programs for GE Aerospace applications. You will interact with personnel at GE Aerospace and GE Aerospace Research to develop and deliver novel solutions aligned with GE Aerospace’s goals of shaping the future of flight.

Roles and Responsibilities
Apply your knowledge in heat transfer and thermal management to develop innovative aerothermal/mechanical solutions for GE Aerospace product portfolioDeliver on technical projects with guidance to meet project requirementsParticipate in a team on technology programs to enable future design advancements, while demonstrating independence in executing tasks leveraging your technical skillsRequired Qualifications
Submitted Ph.D. thesis in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering specializing in Heat Transfer/Thermal Management; you should have approval from your University & Doctoral Advisor to pursue this opportunity. Candidates pursuing graduate studies worldwide authorized to work in India are also welcomed to apply for this internship.Demonstrated fundamental knowledge in heat transfer / thermal management, evidenced by advanced graduate coursework and researchDemonstrated ability and experience in thermal and flow Modeling, Simulation & AnalysisExperience with commercial software (ANSYS FLUENT, CFX, Icepak) or in-house code developmentExcellent oral and written communication skillsDemonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environmentDesired Characteristics
