Job DescriptionYou will work towards a PhD degree as part of the MSCA Doctoral Network "6th Sense" funded by the European Union (https://dn6sense.eu/)You will be closely integrated in a European network of other doctoral candidates and organizations working on related topicsThe PhD degree will be granted by TU Darmstadt, Germany, with planned secondments / research visits at TU Darmstadt and TU DelftDevelopment and evaluation of new concepts and algorithms related to integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) in 6GFocus on multi-modal sensor fusion of ISAC-based sensing with other sensor modalities (e.g., cameras, automotive radars) for improved object detection & perceptionExploitation of additional context information (e.g., maps, weather conditions, etc.) to further improve sensor fusionDevelopment and implementation of a suitable simulation environment for analyzing and optimizing corresponding approachesContribution to related proof-of-concept realizations and evaluationsQualificationsEducation: Excellent M.Sc. degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similarExperience and Knowledge: Previous experience with cellular communications and/or radar is a plus, Solid software development skills and ideally experience with physical layer simulations, Not resided or carried out your main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Germany for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately before their recruitment dateWork Routine: You will be closely integrated in a European network of other doctoral candidates and organizations working on related topicsEnthusiasm: Team player who enjoys working in an international environmentLanguages: Excellent English communication skillsAdditional Information
