Our R&D department works on innovations and technologies for the future of advanced manufacturing and circularity on an industrial scale
In your job you will support our team in the development of digital solutions in the field of advanced manufacturing, energy management and circularity First, you will learn how to operate state-of-the-art manufacturing systems, Industrial IoT devices and sensors and sustainability-focused software offered by Siemens You will analyze the requirements for intelligent solutions along the digital toolchain to enable sustainability and circularity and screen the state-of-the-art software together with our technology experts You will be responsible for researching and developing a scalable software solution to enable the digital toolchain for traceability and circularity using innovative methods such as AI and Digital Twins of machines on the shopfloor The methods will be validated in our own research labs and with external project partners You are significantly involved in the further development of Siemens products as a key enabler for the industrialization of advanced manufacturing and circularityWhat you need to make real what matters.
You are currently enrolled in or have finished a master’s degree such as mechanical or industrial engineering, mechatronics, or computer science You have experience in manufacturing technologies and programming You have already gained experience in working with circular concepts You have practical experience with mechatronic systems, involving IoT or microcontroller programming You know how to use CAD/CAM software (e.g. Siemens NX) and/or PLM tools such as Teamcenter and are familiar with manufacturing technologies such as welding, machining, or additive manufacturing You have experience with Linux Experience in tools for circularity and LCA is a big plus You enjoy practical, goal-oriented work and are characterized by a structured and independent way of working in a scientific manner You are willing to cooperate in cross-functional and international teams Very good written and oral English skills are required, German skills would be an assetWe’ve got quite a lot to offer.
