Job Title: PhlebotomistJob Description We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for drawing blood samples from patients, ensuring proper labeling and handling, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills to keep patients calm and comfortable during procedures. Responsibilities + Identify patients and verify medical records before drawing blood. + Perform venipuncture and skin puncture techniques safely and efficiently. + Label and store blood samples correctly for laboratory testing. + Maintain accurate patient records and update databases. + Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure a sterile environment. + Assist patients who may be nervous or uncomfortable during blood draws. + Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and lab technicians. + Ensure compliance with legal and medical regulations regarding blood collection. Essential Skills + Certification in Phlebotomy (preferred but may vary by state). + Knowledge of proper blood collection techniques and safety protocols. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. + Ability to work in a fast-paced medical environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High school diploma or equivalent required. + Completion of a Phlebotomy training program or relevant experience. + Previous experience in a hospital, clinic, or laboratory setting is a plus. + 2+ years of experience. Work Environment The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 7am to 3:30pm. The environment is a fast-paced medical setting, where collaboration with healthcare professionals is essential. The dress code typically requires professional medical attire to ensure a sterile and safe environment. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
