Job Title: Phlebotomist
Job Description

We have 4 openings for the position of Phlebotomist in outpatient settings. Phlebotomists are responsible for greeting patients, performing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data, decontaminating equipment, and updating patient information. Responsibilities include collecting and storing specimens according to established procedures, explaining the process of venipuncture and other specimen collection clearly and courteously, demonstrating techniques using straight and butterfly needles, and fully understanding physicians' orders. Additional duties involve matching laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes, labeling, centrifuging, splitting, freezing specimens as required, checking test requisitions, packaging specimens for transport, and storing samples according to required protocols. Phlebotomists must comply with OSHA and DEP regulations, attend annual department trainings, handle insurance and billing, and provide excellent customer service.

This is a contract position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Portland, Oregon.

Work Environment

The work environment includes multiple outpatient locations. The schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, with potential rotating Saturdays. The position is a 6-month contract with a possibility of extension. Flexibility to float to different nearby Labcorp locations may be required in rare cases.
