Job Title: Phlebotomist Contact: Da'Vonte Haywood @5034031896Job Description We have two openings for phlebotomists at Legacy Mt. Hood (Outpatient) and Legacy Salmon Creek (Outpatient). The phlebotomist will be responsible for greeting patients, performing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data, decontaminating equipment, and updating patient information. You will collect and store specimens according to established procedures and explain the process of venipuncture or other specimen collections to patients clearly and courteously. The role involves demonstrating techniques using straight and butterfly needles, matching laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes, labeling, centrifuging, splitting, and freezing specimens as required by test orders. You will also handle packaging specimens for transport, storing them at required temperatures, and complying with OSHA and DEP regulations. Additionally, you will answer telephone inquiries, read laboratory results, prep the site, handle insurance and billing, and provide excellent customer service. Work Site This is a fully on-site position in Portland, Oregon. Work Environment LABCORP TRACKER: https://bit.ly/OR-LabCorpTracker PAY: $18-23 (NO wiggle room here - $23 is absolute max) LOCATIONS: • Legacy Mt. Hood (Outpatient) - OPEN • Legacy Salmon Creek (Outpatient) - OPEN SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM • Schedule potentially includes rotating Saturdays (will work 1 Sat every 2-4 weeks) CONTRACT DURATION: 6 Months • LabCorp contracts are initially slated for 3-6 months • Most likely they will be extended multiple times (not guaranteed) – on average contracts go 6-9 months • There is an opportunity to go direct, however, this is not guaranteed. It will depend on overall LabCorp business needs as well as consultant performance and attendance while on contract. **IMPORTANT** • If in a major pinch, the consultant may be asked to float to a different Labcorp (Legacy) location (see all locations under "Labcorp Locations" tab in Labcorp tracker). • Candidates need to be okay/willing to do this, though it will rarely, if ever, happen.
