Every other weekend rotation shifts are 8-hours: 5:00am-1:30pm, 7:30am-4:00pm, or 1:00pm-9:30pm. During training, would work approximately 5 weeks mostly fulltime 8-hour day shifts. Can be flexible. **Job Summary** Obtain laboratory specimens for processing and perform other testing in a professional manner from hospital, clinic and nursing home patients to ensure quality results in accordance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Collects and manages samples of blood and specimens from patients; ensures patient safety during the sample collection process. Records and documents patient information accurately. Follows all standard procedures and safety regulations; deploys asepsis techniques during phlebotomy procedures. Communicates with patients, collecting their health information and answering their questions regarding phlebotomy procedures. **Qualifications** High school diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED) required. Previous work experience in a medical setting is beneficial. Basic knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminology. Completion of a formal phlebotomy program, phlebotomy experience, and experience in a laboratory-related field preferred.
