Avera is seeking a Part Time Phlebotomist with our McKennan Campus Services Group.

The Phlebotomist performs venipuncture and capillary blood collection following approved techniques and policies for hospital inpatients and clinic outpatients. The Phlebotomist also organizes specimen collection requests, performs patient clinical laboratory specimen collection procedures, specimen transport, specimen processing, testing dispersal, point-of-care testing procedures, and other pre-analytic functions following established standards and practices.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED required. Six months to one year related experience and/or training preferred.Licensure/Certification/Registration
Requires a valid driver’s license and that the employee is insurable by the Avera Health automobile liability insurance carrier. Certification as a Phlebotomist Technician (PBT) from the ASCP preferred.Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
