Job Description

The main function of a phlebotomist is to assist in performing various assigned duties, troubleshooting, training, and making workflow recommendations.

ResponsibilitiesPerform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.Maintain patient and specimen information logs.Provide superior customer service to all patients.Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.Essential SkillsPhlebotomyBlood drawVenipunctureCustomer service1+ year of phlebotomy experienceExpert in venipuncture and blood drawFamiliar with specimen processingExcellent customer service skillsPhlebotomy certification (CPT)Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentProven track record in providing exceptional customer serviceStrong communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work independently or in a team environmentComfortable working under minimal supervisionFlexibility to work overtime as neededLocation

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $19.00/hr.
